Skill against luck

All online casino players know that there are two kinds of game. You can divide them into those games you like and those games you don’t like. In any case the world of games is divided into two categories: games that require skills and games that depend on luck (games of chance).

Games of chance: Traditionally, games of Luck are baccarat, craps, Roulette, slots, keno and bingo. Whatever the game is, there are two rules, applied to any game of chance: firstly, casino always has a house edge (sometimes it is not very large), secondly, the only thing that a player can make is to predict the future.
You play in games of chance against the house edge. Some games, as Craps enable you to decrease the house edge to the minimum, if you know what to do. Other games like Baccarat are specialized on the simplification of decisions, and the result is purely the will of chance. Each game is, of course, unique, but you can improve your state of things, having thoroughly learned the game. Let’s take, for example, Baccarat. You can suppose that bets on the player, banker and drawn game are equal. But it isn’t so. The bet on a drawn game gives the house edge of 14%, while bets on the player and the banker decrease this number by 2%. You can make your own choice, but it is clear that games of chance are full of bad bets. But the clever player learns the game attentively in order to avoid bad bets.

Games that require special skills: Blackjack and different variants of poker are traditional games of skills. In these games it is better to know the game and your chances for winnings will be higher. Winnings in these games demand mathematical skills and good memory; as a result you can decrease or even eliminate the house edge. Casinos have the biggest house edges against those players who don’t know how to play properly. Of course, it is much simpler to guess, than to remember complicated strategies and casinos hope that you choose the simplest method and put money into their pockets. But if you know the game very good, in other words, you reach the definite level of skills, the house edge will be significantly lower. A good player will play by the house edge of less than 1%, while a loser will suffer from big losses.
